On 10/5/2020 at the Brighton Michigan Bank, around 4:30pm, I waited in the drive thru for 22 minutes, while an old lady was having problems. Rather than tell her to come inside, they sent the tube, back and forth 5 times! SIMPLY RIDICULOUS!

Mobile and digital apps constantly down

I go to check y account balance and find that both the digital and mobile apps are down and they don't know when they will be back up. I have had nothing but trouble with TCF Bank since they merged with Chemical Bank. I am about ready to change banks. I have been thru several mergers that this banking system has had and this by far the worse.

I had no other issues with TCF until one HR person which I turned in to you. Now i am a single mother with no job because of the one who I am sure got away with mistreating me I hope she feels good about herself and i am sure she still has a job. I will NEVER recommend anyone to work there or bank there it is super sad that is how your company is ran. I hope that no one else will ever have to experience that ever. To back someone into a corner like she did was unacceptable and very unprofessional in every which way. I hope you take action. If not I will never step foot inside a TCF or Cub foods agian in my life. So thanks you for the learning lesson to ask for those calls to be recorded or like I did as a Supervisor at least have a manager present during those calls. I have never in my life ever been pushed out the door by any company hope your proud.

Never answers our phone calls.

We have an account with TCF. It is impossible to reach them. We call their provided number and eventually someone answers and then transfers us to another department where we have sat on the phone for over an hour before finally having to hang up. Today someone finally answered and then their verification process is more than extreme. I have never had to answer all of those questions in one phone call. After 20 minutes of answer questions we start addressing the issue I have and it happens to just disconnect. I'm waiting to see if they will call us back with the number they have on file. It's been 10 minutes. They have not.

Horrible Customer Service

This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. For one, if you can actually speak to someone in less than an hour on hold - consider yourself lucky.

They never, or rarely answer. They cannot blame their poor customer service on Covid because it's always been this way. They have given me the wrong information and when I acted upon it, the next person states that there is no way a rep could have told me that. I told them to check their recordings.

They have sent me the loan information on their other customers, they have sent me a letter that my loan is paid off and when I actually do get to speak with someone, they never follow up as they promised. Emails have not been answered.

I can't wait to get rid of this company. They should not even get one star in any area, but that is not an option, so I had to give them 1.

I was notified by my bank that someone tried to take almost 2000.00 out my account by Cash App.com. I told them I did not do it and don't know what app that is.

They read off a few more that I didn't know. The next day I found someone had taken out $1000.00 out of my account from Cash App.com again. I called customer service (after a 37 min. Wait) and they froze my account and said they'll investigate it.

I told them I need my money or some to pay bills and eat. I was told I would have to wait 5-7 days. I admit I lost my temper. He was rude and unwilling to help.

Then I checked my account two days later and found they charged me 4 overdraft fees and still allowed that person to get the $1000.00 out. I've been trying to contact them again but good luck. I was on hold for 47 min. And still told I had to wait.

All my bills are past due now and I still cannot get my money.

My advice to anyone wanting to deal with TCF is DON'T. I'm still trying to get this cleared up.

Unable to make payment or sign up for auto pay

I have been trying to contact TCF bank since August 10th when they rolled out a new "payment platform". I wanted to sign up, again, for direct payment, as I had done prior.

When I attempted to sign up, I got a message that my account was not valid, and that I needed a note number. Nowhere on my most recent payment coupon was there a "loan note number".

I have been calling almost every day since the 10th, at all times of day, to speak with someone about this, and to try to make a payment, but I have been put on hold EVERY time for more than an hour at a time, then disconnected, or I had to hang up.

As a last ditch effort, I sent in my payment, hoping it would get the TCF before the due date. I am so angry and frustrated beyond words. I will NEVER willingly take out another loan through TCF.

There is NO customer service.

Period.

I better not get a late charge or a ding on my credit report. -

When they switched to a new online system they didn't check whether or not the phone number on file was able to receive text messages. Now I cannot get at my account because the house land line doesn't get the verification code. Now I have been sitting on hold waiting for customer service for an hour! This is lousy customer service!
